March 26–27, 2026 – Annual Conference of the Media Working Group: Creativity and Media in German Language Teaching
How can creativity be fostered in German language classes in an increasingly media-driven society? The 40th Workshop of the Media Working Group will focus on current theoretical and empirical perspectives on creativity, mediality, and teaching practice. The event is organized by Prof. Dr. Carolin Führer and Dr. Daniela Matz.
March 19–20, 2026 – AI Conference Ludwigsburg 2026
On March 19 and 20, 2026, theconference "AI and Subject-Specific Teaching and Learning: Quo Vadis, Foreign Language Didactics?"will take place at the Ludwigsburg University of Education in cooperation with the University of Vechta. The conference will focus on current issues relating to the role of artificial intelligence in foreign language teaching, didactics, and research. The conference is being organized by Prof. Dr. Larena Schäfer and Dr. Can Küplüce.

For the first colloquium of the cooperative postdoc college TEIFUN, Professor Sigrid Hartong of the Helmut Schmidt Universität Hamburg could be won. Her keynote speech "Towards a reflective design of digital technologies in educational settings" and the subsequent joint discussion were a highlight of the event. Another topic of the colloquium was "Research funding" at the locations involved in the TEIFUN postdoc college.
